This is the estimate of persons living in the USA suffering from some form of SCI (Spinal Cord Injury), according to The National Spinal Cord Injury Statistical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. Of those 265,000, it is estimated that an average of 25% suffer from either Tetraplegia (Quadraplegia) or Paraplegia, which means these persons are confined to a wheelchair for the rest of their lives.

Also according to the NSCISC, overall 90% of all persons with SCI who are discharged alive from the hospital are sent to a private, noninstitutional residence (in most cases their homes before injury).

THESE ARE GOOD PEOPLE WHO NEED OUR HELP!

Most of the persons who suffered SCI and are sent home cannot afford to equip their homes with the necessary handicap accesories they need, including wheelchair ramps, bathroom equipment, adequate wheelchairs, vehicle ramps, etc.

They find out very quickly that Medicare and Medicaid may pay for the surgeries and hospital stay, but they do not pay for these quality of life necessities that are so desperately needed if the injured person is to have any quality of life and dignity at all.

PLEASE HELP US TO HELP THEM...PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY!
